It was not to be for FC Barcelona Lassa in the Final Four in Cologne. Xavi Pascual's team have gone out in extremis in the Final Four, losing to Macedonian side Vardar and thus saying goodbye to their hope of clinching another Champions League. A great goal from Cindric in the last second of the game means that Xavi Pascual's side are out after a hard fought semi-final. The early signs were good for Barça with a penalty from Valero Rivera giving them a three goal lead at 8:5 in the 13th minute. Nevertheless, the Macedonian keeper Sterbik helped his team to a one goal lead at half time (13:12) with a series of excellent saves.

Port Sagunt - FC Barcelona 24:32 (12:14)

Barça secured victory away to Port Sagunt with a score of 24:32 in their 118th win on the trot in the Asobal League. The blaugranas were led by Dika Mem, Valero Rivera and Noddesbo in the opening stages and were patient and dominant throughout the encounter. Xavi Pascual had warned his team that it would be a tough game and he proved to be correct. Even though they are already league champions they were very professional throughout and competed well.

Through to the Final Four in Cologne

FC Barcelona Lassa were simply outstanding in front of 7,083 spectators inside a buzzing Palau Blaugrana on Saturday afternoon as they turned around the two-goal deficit from the first leg in Germany to defeat Kiel in the EHF Champions League quarter final and match triumphantly into the Final Four in Cologne on June 3 and 4.

FC Barcelona Lassa - Bidasoa Irun 39:25 (24:12)

FC Barcelona Lassa handball team needed at least a draw to secure the Asobal League title. The blaugranas didn't disappoint as they powered to a convincing 39:25 victory over Bidasoa Irun. The close-fought and tense victory over Ademar León left the title within touching distance last weekend and Pascual's side were able to celebrate in front of their fans at the Palau following tonight's win.

Seven goals from Valero Rivera and 10 excellent saves from Ristovski were crucial in handing Xavi Pascual's team their latest victory in the Asobal League and also inflicting on Ademar their first home defeat of the campaign.

A perfect route to the quarter finals

FC Barcelona Lassa - Orlen Wisla Plock 36:28 (17:15)

Barça Lassa are in the quarter finals of the VELUX Champions League. Xavi Pascual's side secured the win they needed at the Palau Blaugrana against Wisla Plock to finish first of the group and go straight into the quarter finals. Víctor Tomás scored seven goals and Lazarov got six, making them Barça's top scorers on the night. The Catalans have won 12 out of 14 games in the group stage and will find out who they face in the quarter finals when the THW Kiel and Rhein-Neckar Löwen play each other.
